The Analog audio processor of the Margules Audio i-End, iPod Interface improves the iPod’s sound remarkably. Full control of any version of the iPod (except iPod Shuffle) over the built-in Touch Panel right on the i-End’s front panel or via the Remote Control. The Margules Audio i-End also displays the iPod’s music menu on a built-in display on the i-End’s front panel and also via the composite video output, thus allowing to browse through the music content on the iPod, easily.
One of the many features of the iPod is the ability to efficiently and speedily store and retrieve music and video data.
One of the main problems of the iPod is the use of data compression. The compression results in a degradation of the sound image quality, which is most notable in the harsh, sterile sound lacking detail and resolution. As a consequence, audiophiles have avoided using them in their Hi-Fi Systems.
iEnd is Margules Audio’s response to this High End need. The unit incorporates a circuit with a transfer function that reconstructs the lost signal and nearly recovers the uncompromised sound, this results in a much smother, richer, detailed sound with a new restored stereo image. All this is achieved without equalization. The iEnd is a robust unit, the size of standard audio equipment into which the iPod is inserted and controlled by an external program developed by Margules Audio. The logic used is the same as the iPod making the iEnd very user friendly. All the functions of the iEnd can be operated by remote control or thanks to a handy appealing electric field proximity panel.
The iEnd’s other main functions include:
- Remote control with the same logic used in the iPod.
- Feedback of all the iPod operations to the user through a front panel phosphorescent display that can be seen from a distance of several meters.
- Video readout output with the information of the iPod.
- Video output for movie watching.
- Two way RS232 output for remote operation, such as a multi room or perhaps a radio station.
- iPod battery charger.
- Extra input for an Mp3 or an auxiliary, this permits the use of the audio enhancer from other analog digital source.
