Taking vinyl replay beyond what’s possible in this turntable class, Record Player MG-1 MkII Magic Groove includes and shares critical design elements of the SG-1 Player.

Main bearing assembly

The MG-1 MkII main bearing, derived from the SG-1, uses the same spindle and ball. Its phosphor bronze housing is precision-engineered. The materials and manufacturing tolerances ensure silent, smooth operation. It’s lubricated with Vertere’s proprietary L-1G oil for longevity.

Turntable motor

The MG-1 MkII motor, based on the RG-1 and SG-1 design, uses double precision bearings. It’s aligned with three spike-pointed screws for perfect vibration coupling. This design ensures constant belt tension and speed. It also features switchable internal mood lighting.

Main platter

The MG-1 MkII platter is a one-piece aluminium alloy design based on the SG-1 platter. Precision machining techniques ensure smooth operation and constant speed. The platter/record interface is a 3mm bonded cast Acrylic disc.

SG-1 MkIII Motor Drive

The SG-1 MkIII Motor Drive powers and controls the record player motor flawlessly. It has enhanced circuitry for speed accuracy and power delivery. It uses two fully protected output power devices for improved motor control. It also features three motor noise-eliminating pots.

RG-1/SG-1/MG-1 Record Player Dust Cover

This optional dust cover fully encloses the RG-1. It’s made from clear cast acrylic and features cut-outs for motor drive and tonearm cables. It also includes hand-grip cut-outs for easy placement and removal. A Vertere emblem adds a finishing touch.

Special Metallic Finishes

Vertere offers premium Metallic Black, Pearlescent White & Champagne finishes for the SG-1 record player. These vibrant colours, printed using a special method, provide alternatives to the original Clear finish without compromising performance.

MG-1 MkII Motor Cover

The elegant silver anodised MG-1 MkII Motor Cover, machined from solid aluminium, enhances accessibility and aesthetics. It also diffuses LED lights.

Redline Cable Package

The MG-1 MkII comes with a new Redline tonearm cable and motor link cable. The Redline cable system, derived from Pulse-R interconnect cable, preserves the analogue audio signal.
