ATC SCM20PSL Monitor Passive

The SCM20PSL represents ATCs highest performing 2-way, stand-mount, passive loudspeaker. The model has been in continuous production since 1990 and has evolved through four driver/crossover revisions into its current form. Music and audio afficionados worldwide enjoy its special combination of clarity, balance, mid-range detail in combination with classic styling.

Its’ 2-way crossover network is hand-made by ATC using very high-quality film capacitors and ATC’s own air-cored inductors, employed for their lack of hysteresis and lower distortion. Input to the crossover is made via heavy duty bi-wire terminals.

The loudspeaker is ideally paired with ATC pre/power/integrated amplifiers. However, their neutral fidelity, outstanding resolution and modest load impedance also ensures excellent compatibility with a very wide range of quality electronics.

The cabinet is constructed to be heavy and inert with a combination of bracing for stiffness and damping to supress resonance. Bitumastic damping panels are deployed at critical positions to minimise cabinet colouration. It is available in a wide range of finishes.

The SCM20PSL is also available as a floor-standing ‘tower’ model with identical performance in the form of the SCM20PSLT.
