The Pathos InPol Remix MkII Pure Class-A Integrated Amplifier distills the InPol philosophy that built Pathos Acoustics’ reputation into a more accessible, feature-rich package. At its core is a pair of Electro-Harmonix ECC88 input tubes, which handle all voltage amplification of the incoming signal. Following the tubes is Pathos’ patented InPol MOSFET circuit, running in true Class A with a passthrough voltage gain of 1 and high current gain — meaning the solid-state stage adds current drive without altering or coloring the voltage signal the tubes have already shaped. The result is an amplifier that carries the tube stage’s full harmonic signature straight through to the speaker terminals, with no negative feedback in the signal path.

Unlike the larger InPol models in the Pathos range, the Remix MkII integrates a high-resolution digital front end built around the ESS Sabre ES9018K2M 32-bit/384kHz DAC chip, accessed via USB Type B for computer audio (supporting PCM up to 32-bit/384kHz plus DSD64 and DSD128) or S/PDIF. This lets the Remix MkII function as the digital hub of a system as well as its amplifier, without sacrificing the pure Class-A analog signal path that defines the InPol sound.

A dedicated headphone amplifier stage is also built in, delivering 2.65W per channel into 32Ω loads with its own extended frequency response and low distortion — making the Remix MkII equally capable as a personal listening rig or a full loudspeaker-driving integrated amp. Output polarity is remote-selectable, and the amplifier’s twin top-mounted tube rings, machined from aluminum with stainless-steel tube fins, echo the sculptural design language found throughout the Pathos lineup.

Every InPol Remix MkII is designed and built in Vicenza, Italy, the city where Pathos Acoustics was founded in 1994 by Gaetano Zanini, Gianni Borinato, and Paolo Andriolo. The amplifier is offered in multiple finishes, including matte metallic black, matte zebrawood, and lacquered white, red, or black, giving it more visual flexibility than most amplifiers in its class.
