The Pathos AmpliD marks the brand’s first move into Class-D power amplification — and true to form, Pathos didn’t simply chase specs. AmpliD is a fully balanced, pure Class-D stereo power amplifier that combines the speed, control, and low-noise benefits of switching amplification with the tone, texture, and musical engagement Pathos amplifiers are known for. The result is an amp that plays with immediacy — fast transients, deep and authoritative bass, and a wide, well-defined soundstage — without ever sounding sterile or clinical.

Despite its compact dimensions, AmpliD delivers real, usable power: 70 watts per channel into 8-ohm loads and 130 watts per channel into 4-ohm loads, giving it the muscle to drive efficient bookshelf speakers, modern stand-mounts, and even many floorstanding speakers with confidence. Its fully balanced architecture — accepting both XLR and RCA inputs — keeps the signal path clean and low-noise from input to output, and a fast, well-damped output stage (damping factor of 50) helps it maintain tight control over a speaker’s woofer, regardless of load.

Every AmpliD is entirely handmade in Vicenza, Italy, housed in a rigid, milled-aluminum chassis with Pathos’s logo carved into the top panel — a design choice that’s as much about resonance control as it is about aesthetics. Despite its small footprint, the AmpliD is designed to disappear into a system, leaving behind scale and space that belie its size.

AmpliD was built with modular system-building in mind: paired with the Converto MkII DAC/preamp and InTheGroove phonostage, it forms a compact, high-end stack capable of handling both digital and vinyl sources beautifully — proof that serious hi-fi doesn’t require a rack full of full-size boxes.
